Also noticed that after installing on these Win10/11 systems, the two systems that also have WLS2 Ubuntu instances (for Docker) do not have the Tailscale command line available from their Ubuntu prompts. I've noticed the Tailscale command line (CL) does not work in the Windows Terminal running an ordinary command prompt - but an ordinary command prompt window does have the Tailscale command line. I also will have a server with software for that client that is currently on my Tailscale network, and I want to place it on their Tailscale network too. I'm a developer, and planning on placing a private client on a separate Tailscale network for their small company. Tailscale is apparently closed source though.I have a series of personal systems all using Tailscale. I could still require VPN on router before getting in. Is it safe to install Tailscale on router? Is this program and procedure supported by OPNSense developers? Still devices inside and outside a LAN protected by OPNSense cannot talk to each other, which seems to be due to some good job that OPNSense is doing in its default setting blocking somehow the outgoing connection.ĭoes anyone have experience running a package for Tailscale on OPNSense? There is a command line procedure provided by Tailscale, but, unlike ZeroTier, it’s not in OPNSense documentation:

Here I connected devices inside and outside of a LAN protected by a Ubiquiti router. Few lines of copy paste and in 2 minutes all devices are connected together. I don’t know how is the experience with ZeroTier package in OPNSense. I tried to get ZeroTier work with several devices with errors and no luck (on Linux machines and iPhone, not OPNSense router).
